We are currently in the process of migrating our network from novell to windows active directory. When i try to set up the client i get the message access is denied which tends to hint to dcom issues. However all the dcom settings are correct and still works with the novell network. Does the server need to be brought into the domain to work with windows active directory. -- copied from previous newsgroup

As discussed. To use group authentication within AD you will need the client and server to be part of the domain as opposed to using the guest account authentication on Novell -- copied from previous newsgroup (response from CELCAT tech support)
