Many of our courses include discreet projects where students are expected to be in college working on the project but which aren't taught sessions.

In one example I've been given, a member of staff is responsible for two different year groups working on two different projects (= modules in Celcat - speak) at the same time, in different rooms. The member is staff is available to both groups of students for individual help and guidance. They can't be created as a single event across two year groups because the module is different, but assigning the same member of staff to both events creates a clash, though in practical terms this works perfectly well.

Has anyone come across this one and found a solution?

Thanks

Hi Jenny, I cannot offer a solution to you on this one. Although, it's a perfect example to illustrate the need to allow certain clashes. If clashes in particular events could be initially acknowledged and then ignored from future clash checks this would avoid frustrating users with continual alerts to a known but allowed clash.
