We are in the process of integrating and linking to celcat produled timetables from our staff/student portal system. We would like to be able to change the look and feel of web pages produced by Celcat Web Publisher fairly comprehensively.

The thing is though, from my intial look at webpub.css and the various xsl files that you are able to edit - there is a great deal of formatting / presentation that you cannot edit or that is actually embedded in the files produced by Celcat.

Has anyone had any success changing the look and feel of Celcat Web Publisher Output or are we limited to basic font/color changes? Is there any documentation on what can and can't be acheived?

Cheers All

Just one more - is it possible to edit any of the image files produced by Web Publisher without them being automatically overwritten with the default image when publishing is running?

Hi Addam,

We have tried customising the templates, but since then all we get these days is blank timetables - once we've sorted that issue out (been ongoing for some time now though) I'll let you know how the customising went.

Hi Addam,

We're also looking at customising the web publisher output to fit in with our website, although we're actually delivering PDF timetables directly via our VLE (WebCT) for our students.

We're launching other timetables for staff so we still need to do this, so if we have any success I'll let you know.

Regards,

Thanks for the replies Chris / Gippstafe.

We too are attempting roll out staff timetables for the 2008/9 academic year and I'll be making an attempt to customise the web publisher output in the coming few months. I'll post back to this forum anything useful I find out - especially with regard to specifically what you can and can't edit.
