Currently we are running sql2000 with celcat on it. We need to upgrade the instance as it has other dbs on it that require 2005.

Can I upgrade to 2005 and run the celcat db as such, or do I use compatability mode set to 2000, or what?

Do you have any guidelines for this please?

Thanks

Richard

Hi Richard,

We fully support SQL2005 (v6.3 onwards). With an SQL Server upgrade for a Timetabler6 database you can simply re-attach the database within SQL Server, (which will automatically upgrade the db) and once the SQL Server recognises the db (mdf & ldf files), it will then be available to the CTT Server to see the database via regisitration in CT Admin - by going to Timetables | Register Timetable and entering the new SQL Server instance name and database details.

Regards
