Hi,

I'm having some problem with the pre-rendered finder.xml file entitled finder2.html. This file does not render correctly in Firefox or Chrome, but fine in Internet Explorer. I've had a look and both the non functioning browsers consider it a binary file and therefore will not render it. Is there something I can change short of removing the pre-rendering to correct this?

Thanks,

Warrick

Hello Warrick,

So that we can help you further I have a couple of questions for you.

Firstly, can you explain what you mean by the browsers are considering it is a binary file?
Also, if this problem occurs when using HTTP, are you able to open the file in Firefox or Chrome directly (via Explorer) What results do you get?

Thank you
James

The file finder2.html inside the iframe only displays the text side and does not render as html.  An example is http://www.amc.edu.au/students/timetables/finder.html from our website.  But the same behaviour can be seen at other Celcat installations such as http://www.jcu.edu.au/pkg_auto/timetable/2010TT/Tvl_tp1_2010/finder.html or http://timetable.stacs.edu.ie/finder.html

The problem occurs even if opened as a local file. If you view the finder2.html file generated with a text editor you can see that some extra characters are inserted between each alphanumeric one. These extra characters are the reason that Chrome or Firefox are not rendering the file.
