Hi there,

We're new to Celcat, and are currently in the process of setting up a database for the next academic year. I've created a new database and configured the preferences to our needs. We plan to use this database as a 'template', so we need to take a copy to use as our 'working' databse.

I've tried to copy using the administrators copy function, but it throws up a message everytime saying:

'Copy of database failed with exception: Class not regsitered, Class ID : {906E0DDD - 1B59 - 4099 - A47B - CED28C6B8505}'

No idea what this means, if anybody has had a similar problem we could use some help, we're on a pretty tight timescale as it is and we can't really move forward untill we have our database up and running!

Thanks,

Martyn

Hello Martyn,

Software Bug in CELCAT 6.4.77.8

Where the CTT Server is on a remote machine

The code automatically believes that the CTT Server is local when using Copy Timetable or Rollover and thus generates the error, see screen shot attached.

A workaround is that the CELCAT components can be installed on the remote machine and the operations be run from there or install CTT Server on the client machine and make any necessary changes (SQL Server details will still be same).

A fix is in the latest Maintenance Release found on the CELCAT Portal

Also maybe worth trying the rollover tool, which can also be found on our Portal under Miscellaneous Downloads.

Download the correct version to match your CELCAT Build.
